The Wind Mitigation Inspection is an insurance inspection. Insurance companies accept the State Uniform Wind Mitigation form plus the color photos and County documentation compiled by a home inspector. This report describes the current roof to wall attachment device and how many nails are used, the type of roof covering, thickness of roof sheathing, nails used to attach roof sheathing, the style of roof and glazed opening protection. They use this form to determine how much discount the house will be eligible for. The inspector collects the information for these key feature and complete the report.
